The following is by the recommendation of the office of the BC Provincial Health Officer, and in accordance with WorkSafe BC.
On this page, I want to give you the rundown of what's changed, what is still the same, and some guidelines to keep you safe.
Most importantly, I am open for business in-person, but also through TeleHealth. This means that you have a choice, depending on your comfort level.
My hours have changed for the time being; I am currently taking appointments on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30 to 5:30.
I have also enabled online booking through my scheduling system. to make it easier for you to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments without needing to reach me first. You can use the large 'Book An Appointment' button below if you're all set to do that.
** When you book a TeleHealth visit, you will find a new Consent page that comes up each time you log in for your visit; this is to ensure that you are fully aware of the limitations of doing online visits, including, but not limited to, my inability to do any kind of exam. This may mean certain limitations on my ability to make treatment recommendations for certain health conditions. Any questions on this, please don't hesitate to contact me.

PROTOCOLS & PROCEDURES AT THE OFFICE
1. If you are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, and/or you have a fever, on the morning of your appointment, please stay home and contact me to cancel or reschedule, at no penalty.
2. If you arrive for your appointment and are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, I will ask you to go straight to the Cook St. Health Centre for COVID-19 testing, and then return straight home. I have included the address and phone number for the testing station below.
3. If I am feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, I will notify all patients in a two-week block, immediately, to reschedule appointments.
4. All visits in person will be booked at least 15 minutes apart to allow for the office to be cleaned and sanitized. Cleaning will be of all common-touch areas.
5. Masks are required - for myself and for patients - upon entering, and while any exams are performed or close contact is necessary. Please bring a mask, if you can - if not I do have some simple paper masks available. I have hand sanitizer just inside the door, and gloves for your use if you choose (gloves not mandatory).
6. Once seated, we will be more than 6 feet apart, and if that distance is maintained, we may be able to relax the mask requirement, depending on health issues.
7. Only 1 patient can be in my office at a time, with the exception of children accompanied by one parent.
8. Payment is currently being done through E-transfer only, to eliminate the need to use a pin-pad. I will return to credit and debit transactions soon.
